Survivor
Pool Rules
This
year we are going to run a second, slightly different, pool in conjunction
with the traditional confidence points pool. It’s called the SURVIVOR POOL and here how it works: q There is
an entrance fee of $30 to participate; this is in addition to the fee for the
Confidence pool. Of this fee, $25 will be devoted to Prize Money; the
remaining $5 will go to cover expenses (Software, Webspace
& TIME & EFFORT). Money should be sent to the same address as that
for the Confidence Pool, it is listed in the RULES for the confidence pool. q In order to play in the Survivor Pool, you MUST
participate in the Confidence pool. You can, however, skip the Survivor pool
entirely if you wish and just do the confidence pool,,
or the Margin Pool and the Confidence Pool. Bottom
Line: to play in either, or both, the Survivor or Margin Pools, you have to
be in the Confidence Pool. This is software
driven & can’t be changed, sorry! q The
premise and play of the pool is simple: Each week you pick One (1) team as a
winner, straight up (no point spread). You may only pick a given team ONCE
during the course of the season. I f you are
correct and that team wins, you continue on to the next week. If you lose,
here is how it will work. Since this is the first time we are doing this type
of pool, I am going to do a “2 strikes & you are out”
scenario; the first incorrect pick, you live to pick the following week. The
2nd incorrect pick
you are OUT for the season. q The
Season continues until there is either a single Survivor OR the Regular
Season ends (exception: see below) q The LAST
SURVIVOR gets ALL of the $$$ q In the
event that, in a single week, all the remaining survivors are eliminated,
then they shall all replay the following week in order to try to determine a
winner. q If a
winner is not determined by the end of the regular season, the remaining
players may elect to split the Prize $$ OR start a NEW mini season covering
the playoffs and the Superbowl. ALL remaining players must mutually
agree upon the selected course of action, otherwise the default will be to
split the pot. q NEW
FOR 2011: If, at the end of the
season, there are multiple players left, some with NO losses and some with 1
loss, the Prize(s) will go to those with NO losses, divided equally among them. If all remaining players have
1 loss, the prize $$ will be equally divided among all the remaining players. q The
Survivor Pool will officially begin at the start of the season. ALL players
MUST be paid prior to the start of this pool, SO GET YOUR $$ IN TO THE BELOW

basis over the course of the entire season q At the
end of the Season, the player with the most points WINS the entire POT! q In the
event that you MISS A WEEK, you will have the LARGEST POINT DIFFERENTIAL from
ALL THE GAMES THAT WEEK DEDUCTED from your Total. q If you
PICK a PREVIOUSLY SELECTED TEAM, you will have the LARGEST POINT DIFFERENTIAL
from ALL THE GAMES THAT WEEK DEDUCTED from your Total. BE AWARE THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT PROMPT YOU THAT YOU ARE MAKING A
DUPLICATE SELECTION!!! q If a
winner is not determined by the end of the regular season, the remaining
players may elect to split the Prize $$ OR start a NEW mini season covering
the playoffs and the Superbowl. ALL remaining players must mutually
agree upon the selected course of action, otherwise the default will be to
split the pot. q The
Margin Pool will officially begin at the start of the regular season. If you
join late, you will start with the lowest score of any of the participating
players. q In order
