NFLIO Information

Who are we?
    The NFLIO is not a gambling operation. It is an investment opportunity indexed upon the outcome of NFL games. We play every game -- so don't forget the Thursday and Saturday games. Selections MUST be made at least 5 minutes before the first game of the day. You are responsible for knowing who is playing when -- especially critical for those stupid international games. You can change your selections prior to the early Sunday games.

    The bottom line is we want to have fun here and any problems will be handled in a fair manner. Please notice that I play along with you (as Hammer). I make my picks before I see any of yours -- intentionally -- because I don't want to cloud my better judgement.
Confidence Pool:
    Your selections are to be ranked from 16 (your most confident selection) on down. Points are awarded for each victory. A tie counts as a loss. Selections MUST be made at least 5 minutes before the first game of the day. If you miss the Thursday game, you must take the loser for 16 points.

    All selections are due and final after the first Sunday game kicks-off. Partial pick sheets may be submitted. Highest point total for the week wins.
    Your point total estimate for the last game of the week (Monday night) will be used as the first tie breaker. The 2nd tie breaker is total wins. This pool is played through the end of the regular season.

    Dividends
    1st -- $60
    2nd -- $30
Survivor Pool:
    Your objective with this investment is to simply pick a team each week that will win. You can only use a team once! Failure to abide by this rule will result in a loss. After 2 losses you are eliminated. The pool ends when there is only one survivor remaining. If there is no winner after the last game of the regular season, the remaining survivors will share the dividend.

Margin Pool:
    Your objective with this investment is to pick the team that will win by the most points. Points are cumulative, with the margin of victory added to your total. If you pick a losing team, that margin will be subtracted from your total. You can only use a team once! If you reuse a team or forget to make a selection,
    the largest margin of the week will be subtracted from your total.

    The pool runs through the final game of the regular season. Highest point total will earn the dividend. Total wins will be used as the tie breaker.

Low Man Out Pool:
    Every week we will eliminate the lowest-scoring players. The tie breakers are the same as the Confidence Pool. We will divide the total number of players by 16 to determine how many will be eliminated each week. Week 17 will be used as a tie breaker week.

    No action is requirement on your part. Just sit back and watch your picks win!

Sports Box:
    You will have a square in a 10 X 10 grid for the final game of each week. (Monday Night Game) If there is no winner, the dividend will be carried over to the following week.

    The Sports Box is played through the Super Bowl. If nobody earns the final dividend, it will be added to the Playoff Challenge dividend.

    Weekly Dividend
    $20
Season Championship:
    The top 4 investors with the highest confidence point totals at the end of the regular season will earn a dividend. Total wins will be used as the 1st tie breaker. The 2nd will be lowest Monday night average. The dividends will be calculated from remaining funds.

    Approximate Dividends
    1st Place = 40%
    2nd Place = 30%
    3rd Place = 20%
    4th Place = 10%
Dividends will be rounded to nearest $5

Playoff Challenge:
    We will zero out the point totals after the end of the regular season. There will not be any weekly dividends. The point total from the Super Bowl will be used as the tie breaker.

    1st = $200
    2nd = $100
    3rd = $60
Bottom Line:
    $60 provides you with all of the above action!

    I would prefer electronic payments -- it is very efficient. Any free service is fine with me. You will be responsible for any fees. My favorite is PayPal with the "Send Money to Family or Friends" option.
