PAY-INS & PAY-OUTS: It's very simple, everything that is paid in will be paid out in full and everyone pays in, including the POOL MANAGER. No expenses to run the pool and website are deducted from the entry fees collected!!! IMPORTANT: The POOL MANAGER has the right to change or amend any rules if needed for the integrity of the pool when deemed necessary. Any rule changes will be posted on the pool website and will only be implemented at the start of a new pool week!!! REMINDER: The POOL MANAGER can accept small gifts for all of his time and efforts and are always appreciated!!! Pool Sign-Up Page ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO SIGN-UP FOR THE 2022-23 SEASON!!! If using a computer you will find the Pool Sign-up link in two places on the pool homepage. Upper left hand side and on the bottom. If using a mobile device you will be directed to a different looking homepage. Sign-up here is on bottom of homepage and also when you click Pool Pages on right side - Signup is on the left in the first row. You must create and enter a Pool Player Name, Your Real Name, Password, a valid E-Mail & your favorite team if you have one. Then select which pool(s) you will be joining and then click Submit Signup. You will receive an e-mail with all of this information. Please save it for future reference. IMPORTANT UPDATED COVID-19 RULES During these unprecedented times there are still a lot of unknowns related to Covid-19 and how it will ultimately impact the NFL Season over 18 weeks. This is a fluid situation and I expect there might be schedule adjustments, changes to player rosters, and possibly other unanticipated changes made throughout the NFL Season for which I cannot plan for. Some decisions may need to be made "on the fly". I have tried my best to make this as upfront and fair as possible and I will do my best to stay on top of these changes and keep you all informed as quickly as possible. IF A TEAM FORFEITS A GAME, THE OPPONENT WILL BE DECLARED THE WINNER BY A SCORE OF 2-0 AS STATED IN THE 2021 NFL RULEBOOK (RULE 11 - SCORING - ARTICLE 1 - WINNING TEAM). THE POINT SPREAD FOR THIS GAME WILL BE REMOVED AND NO POINT SPREAD WILL BE USED!!! THIS WILL ALSO APPLY TO THE HIGH 5 POOL THAT USES POINT SPREADS!!! IF YOU PARTICIPATE IN THE MARGIN POOL AND YOU SELECTED THE FORFEITING TEAM YOU WILL LOSE 2 POINTS AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT TEAM AGAIN. IF YOU SELECTED THE OPPONENT YOU WILL BE AWARDED 2 POINTS AND WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THAT TEAM AGAIN!!! SURVIVOR & LOSERS POOLS WILL ALSO BE AFFECTED IF YOU SELECTED ONE OF THE TEAMS IN THE FORFEITED GAME!!! As of right now the NFL plans on having a full season, Playoffs & Super Bowl starting on Thursday, Sept. 8th! If for any reason the NFL Season is cancelled before it starts all monies that were already paid will be reimbursed in full. If for any reason the NFL season is canceled unexpectedly after already starting the following rules will apply: All monies paid in full by any player participating in the Weekly Pool (18 weeks - $90) will be reimbursed for the weeks missed (example - if season is canceled after Week #7 then each player will be reimbursed $55 (weeks 8-18). All side pools (Season, No Margin For Error, High 5, Survivor, Losers (Survivor II) & 33 Point Standings will be final and prizes will be paid out after the week the NFL Season was canceled. WEEKLY POOL: If a game is canceled, postponed or rescheduled for any reason "BEFORE" the picksheet has been made available, it will be removed from the current week, the picksheet will be reposted, email sent out and posted on homepage. If a game is canceled, postponed or rescheduled for any reason "AFTER" the pick deadline it will be removed from the current week and will not count. SEASON POOL: Weekly games being canceled, postponed or rescheduled "should not" affect the Season Standings outcome. If the NFL cancels the 2022/2023 Season entirely, then the week it is canceled standings will be final and prizes will be awarded accordingly. SURVIVOR POOL: If a game is canceled, postponed or rescheduled for any reason "BEFORE" the pick deadline, then the player must submit a new pick for that week. If for whatever reason the player fails to submit a new pick, then the players pick will default to the first available - MOST FAVORED TEAM (based on picksheet)), top to bottom. If a game is canceled, postponed or rescheduled for any reason "AFTER" the pick deadline, I will attempt to contact the player one time to pick a game yet to be played, then the players pick will default to the first available - MOST FAVORED TEAM (based on picksheet)), top to bottom. SQUARES POOLS: If the NFL cancels the 2022/2023 season entirely before the Turkey Bowl Game on Thanksgiving Day all monies paid will be reimbursed. If the NFL cancels the 2022/2023 season entirely before the Super Bowl Game all monies paid will be reimbursed. IMPORTANT!!!!! IT WILL BE ENTIRELY UP TO YOU TO PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO YOUR SELECTIONS EACH WEEK, ANY NEWS ABOUT COVID RELATED ISSUES HAPPENING IN THE LEAGUE, ANYTHING POSTED ON POOL HOMEPAGE AND ALL EMAILS SENT FROM ME THIS SEASON!!! Smart Pick Entry Form SMART PICK ENTRY FORM IS NOW AVAILABLE ON BOTH THE COMPUTER WEBSITE AND ON MOBILE DEVICES!!! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THAT ALL OF YOUR SELECTIONS HAVE BEEN MADE BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR PICKS!!! Regular Pick Entry Form Select your pool name from dropdown, enter password and e-mail address. The Pick Entry Form will have favorite teams on the left, underdog teams on the right, with the point spread in the middle and home teams in BOLD (Home teams are in CAPS on paper Pick Entry Forms). Below where the Mon. Total Points are is where you will put your Survivor, Losers (Survivor II), Margin & High 5 if you are participating. After successfully submitting your picks please print them out. You "WILL NOT" receive an e-mail with your picks!!! If you forgot what picks you selected or want to make any changes before deadline then click on the Pick Entry Form, select your name in the drop-down list, put in your password and e-mail address then click on "What Are My Current Picks On File" to view your last submitted picks. Picks Received There is a Picks Received link on both the computer Pool Homepage (left side under Picks With Logos) and on mobile devices (Pool Homepage - click on Pool Pages - top row - fourth tab on right). After you submit your picks you want to verify that they went through successfully. If successful your pool name, date and time will show and number of times you submitted. There is also an option to put in your password to view and print your picks as well for that week after clicking on your pool name. If you try to submit your picks after the deadline has passed for that week it won't allow you!!! WEEK 1: PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is Thursday evening, Sept. 8th @ 8:00 PM!!! WEEK'S 2-11: PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is Saturday evening @ 11:00 PM!!! WEEK 12: (THANKSGIVNG WEEK) PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is Thursday morning, Nov. 24th @ 11:00 AM!!! WEEK'S 13-14: PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is Saturday evening @ 11:00 PM!!! WEEK'S 15-16: PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is Friday evening @ 11:00 PM!!! WEEK 17: PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is Saturday evening @ 11:00 PM!!! WEEK 18: PICKS SUBMIT DEADLINE is ??? @ 11:00 PM!!! Games Not Included In Pool All Thursday night games "WILL NOT BE INCLUDED" each week in the Weekly, No Margin For Error, High 5, Survivor & Losers (Survivor II) pools EXCEPT for Week #1 (Buffalo @ LA Rams) and Week #12 (Thanksgiving Games - Buffalo @ Detroit, NY Giants @ Dallas & New England @ Minnesota). The Weekly Pool $5.00 to play each week ($90.00 total for 18 weeks) in "The Weekly Pool". The prize amount for each week will depend on how many players are playing in that week. A point spread will be used when selecting each game. The teams that you pick to win will be either getting or giving points. All point spreads (from https://www.sportsline.com/nfl/odds/) using the consensus that already include a half point (6.5, 3.5 etc.) will be used accordingly. If a point spread does not have a half point then the spread will go down a half point. EXAMPLES: (If a team is favored by 6 points then the point spread will be 5.5) or (If a team is favored by 13 points then the point spread will be 12.5). NO LINE AVAILABLE: Sometimes for a week there will be no point spread available for a game when creating the Pick Entry Form. When this happens I will provide a point spread to the best of my knowledge and post it as well on the pool homepage to let everyone know. When there is a Pick'em (0 point spread) a half point (.5) will be given to the visiting team. The Monday Night Game (tiebreaker game) will be used as the last game for the pool week unless otherwise noted. If in the case that a tiebreaker game will be needed other then the Monday Night Game in any given week it will be posted on the pool homepage and email will be sent!!! The player with the most correct picks for the week after the Monday Night Game (or other tiebreaker game) will be the winner. Paper and Pick Entry Forms will be available on Tuesday (Tentative - sometimes Paper & Pick Entry Forms will be available sooner). A memo informing you of any of these tentative circumstances will be distributed, e-mailed and posted on pool website. All player's picks will be posted on the pool website and will be final after the picks submit deadline for that week. You must pick a winner for every game and enter the total amount of points scored by both teams in the Monday Night Game (or other tiebreaker game) - (Please check your picksheet before submitting). If in the case of any ties in this pool then these tiebreakers will be used in this order: FIRST TIEBREAKER (if needed) - the player closest to the total points scored by both teams "WITHOUT GOING OVER" in the Monday Night Game (or other tiebreaker game) will be the winner. SECOND TIEBREAKER (if needed) - player wins with the average lowest Monday Night Game total points difference (OVER OR UNDER - REGARDLESS OF HOW MANY WEEKS PLAYED IN WEEKLY POOL). IF THERE ARE STILL ANY TIES AFTER THE SECOND TIEBREAKER THEN THE WEEKLY POOL PRIZE AMOUNT WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!!! IMPORTANT: THE SECOND TIEBREAKER "WILL NOT BE USED" IN THE WEEK #1 WEEKLY POOL. IF THERE ARE ANY TIES AFTER THE FIRST TIEBREAKER THEN THE WEEKLY POOL PRIZE AMOUNT WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!!! PLEASE CHECK ALL OF YOUR SELECTIONS BEFORE SUBMITTING THEM!!! The Season Pool $20.00 one-time fee to play. YOU MUST PARTICIPATE IN THE WEEKLY POOL TO BE ABLE TO SIGN UP FOR THE SEASON POOL!!! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. 1st Place - $540 2nd Place - $320 3rd Place - $220 THE PLAYER'S THAT HAVE THE MOST TOTAL WINS FROM EACH WEEK FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON WILL BE THE WINNERS!!! If in the case of any ties in this pool then these tiebreakers will be used in this order: FIRST TIEBREAKER (if needed) - player wins with the average lowest Monday Night Game total points difference (OVER OR UNDER). Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. 1st Place - $310 2nd Place - $190 3rd Place - $120 Each player picks one team each week (straight up - no point spread is used) for the entire season. Once a player picks a team they cannot pick that same team again for the rest of the season. THE THURSDAY NIGHT GAME'S THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THAT WEEK'S POOL CANNOT BE USED AS A MARGIN PICK (ONLY WEEK #1 AND WEEK #12 - THANKSGIVING WEEK TEAMS CAN BE USED). If your team wins, the winning margin, or margin of victory is added to your point total. If your team loses, then the winning margin is subtracted from your point total. Missed week loses largest margin of missed week. Duplicate pick loses largest margin of duplicate week. THE PLAYERS THAT HAVE THE MOST POINTS AT THE END OF THE SEASON WILL BE THE WINNERS. If in the case of any ties in this pool then these tiebreakers will be used in this order: FIRST TIEBREAKER (if needed) - most total wins in Margin Pool. SECOND TIEBREAKER (if needed) - the player closest to the total points scored by both teams "WITHOUT GOING OVER" in the final game of the regular season. IF THERE ARE STILL ANY TIES AFTER THE SECOND TIEBREAKER THEN THE PRIZE AMOUNT WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!!! The High 5 Pool $20.00 one-time fee to play. HIGH 5 POOL ONLY PLAYERS ARE NOW ALLOWED - YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WEEKLY POOL!!! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. 1st Place - $270 2nd Place - $160 3rd Place - $110 Each week you pick a team from any 5 games that are being played. A point spread will be used. The more games you win the greater the points you earn. 1 win = 1 pt, 2 wins = 3 pts, 3 wins = 6 pts, 4 wins = 10 pts, 5 wins = 20 pts. THE THURSDAY NIGHT GAME'S THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THAT WEEK'S POOL CANNOT BE USED AS HIGH 5 PICKS (ONLY WEEK #1 AND WEEK #12 - THANKSGIVING WEEK TEAMS CAN BE USED). THE PLAYERS THAT HAVE THE MOST POINTS AT THE END OF THE SEASON WILL BE THE WINNERS. Each player picks one team each week that they think will "WIN" (straight up - no point spread is used) for the entire season. Once a player picks a team they cannot pick that same team again for the rest of the season. Players will be eliminated after 2 losses. Missed weeks count as a loss. NFL ties count as a loss. This pool will end when there is one player left. THE THURSDAY NIGHT GAME'S THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THAT WEEK'S POOL CANNOT BE USED AS A SURVIVOR PICK (ONLY WEEK #1 AND WEEK #12 - THANKSGIVING WEEK TEAMS CAN BE USED). IF THERE ARE MULITIPLE PLAYERS WHO GET ELIMINATED IN THE SAME WEEK BEFORE WEEK #18 WITH NO SURVIVORS LEFT THEN THE POOL WILL END THAT WEEK AND THE PRIZE WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!! IF THERE ARE STILL MULITIPLE PLAYERS LEFT AFTER WEEK #18 THEN THE PRIZE WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!!! The Losers (Survivor II) Pool $20.00 one-time fee to play. Prize amount for this pool is $560. Each player picks one team each week that they think will "LOSE" (straight up - no point spread is used) for the entire season. Once a player picks a team they cannot pick that same team again for the rest of the season. Players will be eliminated after 2 losses. Missed weeks count as a loss. NFL ties count as a loss. This pool will end when there is one player left. THE THURSDAY NIGHT GAME'S THAT ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THAT WEEK'S POOL CANNOT BE USED AS A LOSER PICK (ONLY WEEK #1 AND WEEK #12 - THANKSGIVING WEEK TEAMS CAN BE USED). IF THERE ARE MULITIPLE PLAYERS WHO GET ELIMINATED IN THE SAME WEEK BEFORE WEEK #18 WITH NO LOSERS LEFT THEN THE POOL WILL END THAT WEEK AND THE PRIZE WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!! IF THERE ARE STILL MULITIPLE PLAYERS LEFT AFTER WEEK #18 THEN THE PRIZE WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!!! The 33Pool/Target Pool New for this season is the "33Pool/Target Pool". $20.00 one-time fee to play. Prize amount for this pool is $580. Players will be assigned a random team that is auto-generated in the program each week. The default target points number for a team to score in a week will be 33. The player who has the most correct teams picked with 33 points after Week 18 will be the winner. If in the case of any ties then the pool will be split evenly. The Squares Pools There are 5 squares pools this year - $10 Turkey Bowl, $10 Super Bowl, $20 Super Bowl, $30 Super Bowl & $50 Super Bowl. All squares pools squares will be numbered 00-99 and not 1-100. The $10 Turkey Bowl Squares Pool will be the third game played on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 24th (New England Patriots @ Minnesota Vikings). IF FOR ANY REASON THIS GAME GETS CANCELED/MOVED/RESCHEDULED THEN THE GAME BEFORE IT (NEW YORK GIANTS @ DALLAS COWBOYS) WILL BE USED FOR THE TURKEY BOWL!!! The $10 Turkey Bowl Squares Pool will be available starting with Week #1!!! The $10, $20, $30 & $50 Super Bowl Squares Pools will be available starting with Week #13!!! THE $10 SQUARES POOLS WILL ONLY HAVE 4 WINNERS - ONE EACH FOR THE 1ST QUARTER, HALFTIME, 3RD QUARTER & FINAL SCORE!!! THE $20, $30 & $50 SQUARES POOLS WILL HAVE 2 WINNERS (SCORE & ADD 2 POINTS TO SCORES) FOR THE 1ST QUARTER, HALFTIME, 3RD QUARTER & FINAL SCORE!!! These numbers represent the last number in the score of each team. Example 1: If the score is AFC 17 - NFC 14, then the winning square for Score is the one with the AFC number 7 and the NFC number 4. The winning square for Add 2 Points To Scores is the one with the AFC number 9 and the NFC number 6. Example 2: If the score is AFC 29 - NFC 18, then the winning square for Score is the one with the AFC number 9 and the NFC number 8. The winning square for Add 2 Points To Scores is the one with the AFC number 1 and the NFC number 0. Turkey Bowl Squares - New England Patriots will be on the left side of bracket (Set 1 of numbers used from bottom to top) & the Minnesota Vikings will be on top of the bracket (Set 2 of numbers used from top left to top right). Super Bowl Squares - NFC TEAM will be on the left side of bracket (first set of numbers used from bottom to top) & AFC TEAM will be on top of the bracket (second set of numbers used from top left to top right). Once all the squares have been selected and paid for the numbers will be generated by a non playing person using Random Integer Set Generator by RANDOM.ORG. 2 sets of 0-9 numbers generated will be for the $10 Turkey Bowl. 8 sets of 0-9 numbers generated will be for the $10, $20, $30 & $50 Super Bowl Squares Pools respectively. E-mail will be sent out to all players with the details when needed!!! ALL FEES FOR THE $10 TURKEY BOWL SQUARES POOL ARE DUE BY SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 20TH. ALL FEES FOR THE $10 SUPER BOWL, $20 SUPER BOWL, $30 SUPER BOWL & $50 SUPER BOWL SQUARES POOLS ARE DUE BY SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH. GOOD LUCK AND ENJOY THE GAMES!!! Rankem Playoff Pool $20.00 one-time fee to play. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 finishers. 1st Place - $??? 2nd Place - $??? 3rd Place - $??? The point spread will not be used. The pool runs through the entire playoffs starting with the Wildcard games and ending with the Super Bowl game. Week 19 Pick Entry Form Confidence points selections along with the Super Bowl total points scored by both teams will only have to be submitted once and will be used for the entire playoffs and Super Bowl game. The idea is to rank each team that appears in the playoffs with Confidence points from 14 to 1 (14 being the most confident team you think will go all the way and win the Super Bowl to 1 being the least confident team you think will go all the way and win the Super Bowl). You can only use each confidence point once in your selections. There are 14 teams in the playoffs (7 from each conference). 2 teams (1 from each conference) get first round byes. Each round will have a point multiplier for each winning team's Confidence points assigned as follows: Wild Card Games - each winning team's Confidence points x 2 = total points for this round Divisional Games - each winning team's Confidence points x 3 = total points for this round Championship Games - each winning team's Confidence points x 5 = total points for this round Super Bowl Game - winning team's Confidence points x 8 = total points for this round The player(s) with the most total points will determine the winner(s). No points are awarded to losing teams. Example 1: Suppose you assigned 11 Confidence points to Los Angeles Rams. They had a 1st Round bye. So if they won their Divisional Game and lost the Championship Game you would receive 33 points (11 x 3) for this selection. Example 2: Suppose you assigned 3 Confidence points to Dallas. So if they won the Wildcard Game and lost the Divisional game you would receive 6 points (3 x 2) for this selection. Example 3: Suppose you assigned 9 Confidence points to New Orleans and they went all the way and won the Super Bowl. So you would receive 18 points (9 x 2) for the Wild Card game, 27 points (9 x 3) for the Divisional game, 45 points (9 x 5) for the Championship game and 72 points (9 x 8) for the Super Bowl game which would equal 18 + 27 + 45 + 72 for a total of 162 points for this selection. If in the case of any ties then the player closest to the total points scored by both teams (OVER OR UNDER) in the Super Bowl game will be the winner. If in the case any players have the same total points for the Super Bowl game then the most points scored in each round Super Bowl - Championship Games - Divisional Games - Wildcard Games will be determined in this sequence starting with the Super Bowl game then going back to the Wildcard Games. IF THERE ARE STILL ANY TIES AFTER THE SECOND TIEBREAKER THEN THE PRIZE AMOUNT WILL BE SPLIT EVENLY!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL PLAYERS!!! TIEBREAKER SCENARIOS If 2 players are tied for 1st place then you add the first & second place prizes together then split that evenly between the players.
